Mt. Hood, Oregon
Hi Men:
I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and you saw the majesty of Christ. Think for just a moment… The Word was made flesh…. (John 1:14). Jesus as you all know is the Word and as we mentioned last week, all things came into being through Jesus. So Jesus not only created all the mountains, but every star in the universe………. and then lowered Himself beyond low….. and became flesh as a baby in a cow trough and ended his life by hanging naked on a cross for you and for me. Think about that the next time your having a pity party!

I liked this:
George Whitefield (1714-1770) was, like we say in Texas hold ‘em…….. “All In.” This itinerant preacher and evangelist, even though he had poor heath, continued to preach the gospel. He said, “I would rather wear out than rust out.” He did just that…… his last sermon was in the middle of a field standing on top of a large barrel. He died the following day…………..
Here is a letter from Geo. Whitefield to Benjamin Franklin, dated August 17, 1752 exhorting “new birth.”
“I find you grow more and more famous in the learned world. As you have made a pretty considerable progress in the mysteries of electricity, I would now humbly recommend to your diligent, unprejudiced pursuit and study, the mystery of the new birth. It is a most important, interesting study; and, when mastered, will richly answer and repay you for all your pains. One, at whose bar we are shortly to appear, hath solemnly declared, without it we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. You will excuse this freedom. I must have something of Christ in all my letters.”
IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD AND DOWN THE STREET
I am so far behind in sharing the opportunities that abound all around (for all of us). Let me summarize a couple:
- Hay Delivery Men: Last Saturday, 2 guys delivered and stacked (40) 3-wire bales of alfalfa. After they finished I asked them if they got their Million Dollar Gospel of John. The look on their face is always priceless! Then I went on to share the Gospel with the other tracts. They were both so excited….. I kid you not! I gave them a big tip and they left smiling big time.
- My buddy Greg Horst: I met Greg at church over 2 years ago. He was stationed at Nellis AFB. He then got transferred to Okinawa, Japan. He had a TDY in Oklahoma, but on his way back to Japan, he made a pit stop in Vegas on the 20th to share the day. We made a pact to start zooming. Greg got to join some of the men on Friday as we discussed Bill McCurine’s 2023 Message On HELL
- Zion: Not only did I have an opportunity to speak to the caterers in the kitchen and give them all the materials, but I had long conversations with both the conference center manager at SpringHill, Patti and the regional sales manager that came down from Salt Lake City, Rosanna. Rosanna is super nice and I got to share my testimony and give her Steps To Peace With God and the other materials. We talked for about an hour and a half that Saturday afternoon.
- More next week……..
Make sure you have a plan and commitment for reading the Bible in 2025 (see below) and fulfilling the Great Commission (E2) as an Ambassador for Christ.
Love you guys,
Dan
(Gal 2:20)
“Nothing less than a whole Bible can make a whole Christian.” (A.W. Tozer)
Often I am asked, “Dan, sometimes I just don’t know where to give anymore. Is there anyone that’s doing Biblical discipleship?” Below are just a few thoughts if you are still scratching you head……
Year End Giving
Gentle Reminder: Nothing you have is yours!
For those of you that haven’t finished your giving for 2024, here are few “real deal” brothers that continue to pour their lives into the lives of others for the sake of Jesus Christ. Please pray about the men below and ask God to direct and bless you with what you have received from Him (1 Cor 4:7)
- Jerry Bangert, E2 Foundation Most all of you know our brother Jerry and his faithfulness to the Word and Discipleship (E2)
- Lee Yih, LaymansFoundation.org Like Jerry, Lee given his life to E2
- Daniel Janagam, SharonIndia.org Has peeled open discipleship throughout India and 8 other countries. He is our modern-day Book of Acts. Drop him a note: danymission@yahoo.com
- Andy Fetsis, My.FCA.org/AndyFetsis. Read Andy’s PDF Update
- Jorge Hernandez, My.FCA.org/JorgeHernandez
- Ron Brink, TouchBaja.com Ministering and Discipling for 30years in Tijuana to those the world has rejected
All these men have been involved with the Zion Boot Camp
Another “real deal” is Rob Myers and his team at Engage To Go. They are an E2 (Evangelism and Discipleship) ministry to the lost young men & woman that attend the rave concerts across the country. Rob and his wife Colleen are awesome!
Men: I was told years ago, “Dan, the fastest way to burnout, is to do someone else’s ministry.” Plus, it flies in the face of Eph 2:10. We are serving God on our terms and not His! How much time do you spend on your knees asking God to show you your purpose? You know, the one He prepared for you before the foundations of the world!

“The vigor of our spiritual life will be in exact proportion to the place held by the Bible in our life and thoughts.” (George Mueller)
Jesus said: “Do not work for the food which perishes, but for
the food which endures to eternal life……”
John 6:27
I just had to use this photo again. It really hits me in regard to the following quote:
Visualize yourself standing at the threshold of death with nothing but memories to look back upon and nothing but the grave to look forward to, what would you have to see as you look back over your life in order to look God the Father in the face and say:
“Oh God I have finished the work You gave me to do, my life has been a success.”
What are you thinking as you move into 2025
Burn the Boats
(From: Many Aspire, Few Attain – Part 5)
“No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God”
(Luke 9:62)
“You’ll never attain if you refuse to burn your boats. When Hernán Cortés took his men to Mexico, his objective was to march on Mexico City and conquer Montezuma. When he landed at Veracruz, he put all his men on the beach and sent demolition teams out to destroy their ships. As the men stood on the shore watching the ships burn and sink, they realized that there was no turning back. They were in Mexico for life.”
Men: If you haven’t listened to this message that Walt gave to a group of young people right after the Vietnam War, please find some quiet time to listen to it. If you have listened to it, I encourage you to go through it again. It also makes a great men’s group study. I have also attached the full PDF along with a link to the audio (below) with the 14 points that Walt put together.
