Hi Men:
Without going into detail, after a 1 year sabbatical I have been praying whether or not to continue my Friday Men’s Group emails. For the past several months I have sent a similar “test” email to a small group of brothers and now I have expanded it. We’ll see how it goes………
The Friday Men’s Group started in the mid 90’s after a group of us attended Promise Keepers at the L.A. Coliseum. Over the years some of the men started their own groups; like John Marchiano and Ted McAdams The weekly emails began about 15 years ago. They will normally hit your inbox on Friday morning so you can reflect on the material over the weekend. I claim no ownership, so if you desire, you can either forward them….or delete them.
For some of you, this email will be new and you might want to pray to see if it’s for you. Like the USMC Motto, we are looking for a “Few Good Men!” These emails are for “men” ….. they are seldom fluffy or feel-good; you can Google those all day long. But they “ARE” Biblical….. and if I mess up, I’ll hear about it from my mentors! Very few guys today spend time in “Living Word of God.” If you don’t agree with the content or it gives you heart-burn, don’t kill the messenger, but go to the Word and be a Berean; those Jews who fact-checked to see if the Apostle Paul was pulling the wool over their eyes:
Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians,
for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.
(Acts 17:11)
In the days ahead, I will explain more. Right now we are at such a crossroads in our nation and world, we better be sure we have great clarity on who this God is we serve. He is our true hope. The photo above is when the California Creek Fire first broke out. It was no accident nor premeditated…… I’m not talking about a gender-reveal party or an arsonist. I’m bringing it up to see if you believe those verses. Since God is 100% in control of everything, there would be no fire unless He authorized it by His Sovereign will…………. Do you believe that?
Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good and bad come?

Men, you need to get this very clear in your heart, mind and soul………… God is in control and He is good!
