"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it." (Romans 8:18-25)

Hi Men:

If you haven’t figured it out yet, we live in a broken world.  As you know, God put the natural world under a curse and subjected it to futility, corruption, disease and death and showed us the result of sin/disobedience.  But the Good News, Jesus is coming back to make things right.  Yet He won’t be coming back as “baby Jesus” …. meek and mild, this next time He will be coming as the Perfect Judge…….. the Wrath of the Lamb.

A number of you have been asking how Bill Waller is doing regarding his court battle with the Federal Govt.  Actually I have purposely avoided making any comment until now.  Bill contacted me back in April of 2018 and asked for prayer from all of you and the pastor group in India.  One of his specific prayer requests was quote: “Pray that the truth will come out and be exposed in the court room.”  I guess I’m naive, but no one ever sent me the following until the jury trial began:

Las Vegas Real Estate Broker Indicted For Tax Fraud

 and this was his conviction:

Las Vegas Real Estate Broker Convicted Of Tax Fraud

Until his sentencing on June 21, Bill is a federal prison in Pahrump, Nevada.  Of course we continue to pray for Bill, his wife Terry and their children.  I could probably say a lot of things and query him on his interpretation of Romans 13, but for now, I will just reflect on the fact that …….. “But by the grace of God I am what I am………………..”  1 Cor 15:10

Yes, we live in a broken sin-sick world.  “Hasten the day, oh God!”

(Gal 2:20)

Please pray for my son John and his fiancée Paige Govey.  They will get married this Sunday at Mammoth Ski Resort.  Pray for fair weather, that everyone will arrive safely and this event will be blessed by the Lord.  You can tell they like to ski 😊

Joni Eareckson Tada’s Cancer Has Returned  (see link below)

I love this statement from Joni:

“When I received the unexpected news of cancer from my oncological surgeon, I relaxed and smiled, knowing that my sovereign God loves me dearly and holds me tightly in His hands,” Tada said at the time.
“What good is it if we only trust the Lord when we understand His ways? That only guarantees a life filled with doubts.”

Please pray for this remarkable woman.  If you don’t know her story, I would highly encourage you to read it.

Believing – Part One Day 58…..  One of the brothers wrote to me after reading Part One and stated this:

“Most of His commandments seem unreasonable and therefore you receive little encouragement from the body of Christ to obey”
I would encourage all of you to read all five parts……………. Whoa!

Facts of the Matter

Good Morning!   Mark 4:26 – 29 gives us four helpful insights:

  1. WE ARE TO FAITHFULLY SOW THE SEED ON ALL KINDS OF SOIL: In the parable of the sower (Mk. 4:1-8, 14-20), Christ told of the person who threw the seed (the Gospel) on various types of soil (men’s hearts): hard, shallow, weed-infested, and “good.” The sower’s job was not to inspect the condition of the soil, but to faithfully “scatter seed on the ground…” (Mk. 4:26b)
  2. WE ARE TO STEP BACK AND ALLOW THE GOSPEL TO DO ITS WORK: The inner-working of the Gospel upon a person’s heart is mysterious, God-directed, and beyond our control or efforts: “Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain …” (Mk. 4:27)

III WE ARE TO OBSERVE THE SOIL: It important for us to understand that before reaping the harvest, an orderly and timely growth process must first transpire: “…First the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.” (Mk. 4:28)

IV WE ARE TO REAP THE HARVEST: Because of our inclination toward procrastination, we could easily miss the opportune time to reap the harvest: “ Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months and then comes the harvest’?…I tell you…the fields are ripe for harvest. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” (Jn. 4:35; Mk. 4:29) I am intrigued with the fact that when Christ spoke of the partnership between sower and reaper He only offered a reward to the reaper: “One sows and another reaps…The reaper draws…wages…” (Jn. 4:37, 36) Perhaps He knew that reapers were in scarce supply and needed the added incentive!

At any rate, let’s get out there and sow the seed, step back, observe, and…harvest!

My prayer is that you are having a great week!
