Hi Men:
I pray you have had a solid week “in” the Lord. We continually need to be reminded on a daily basis as we get out of bed in the morning to clearly know we have one mission: To serve our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. As C.T. Studd so rightly said, “Only one life, ‘twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”
The photo above is a highliner over Moab, Utah. I debated regarding what verse to use and when my wife saw the photo, she said you can always use, “Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil” (Proverbs 4:27). I loved that one and it was most appropriate, but I inserted the verse from Matt 7 to again have us reflect on the seriousness of the Gospel. Jesus is speaking about very religious people….. people that can prophesy, drive our demons and perform “many” miracles. Yet Jesus declares the He never knew them……. and to go to Hell. So why do so many Christians check the Sunday Church Box ü ….. yet from Monday through Saturday you wouldn’t even know they are a Christian, let alone profess Christ? In light of those words from the lips of Jesus Christ, it terrifies me to think about it………

IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD – PART 2
Last Saturday another opportunity presented itself. A group of men were putting up a block wall fence of a new neighbor I will soon have. I went over and chatted with them. Fortunately one of the guys could speak English, so I didn’t have to use Google Translate. I told them what a great job they are doing and bought them all lunch. I then gave them all a gospel tract in Spanish (they are holding them in the photo). They eagerly accepted them, especially when they saw that it was in Spanish. I shared a condensed version of my testimony, took their picture and said goodbye. They were super nice guys……… Men, there are opportunities all around us!

One of the brothers in the bay area mentioned a testimony he heard by the President and Owner of In-N-Out Burger, Lynsi Snyder.
He brought it up due to the draconian nonsense going on in California.

Men: Earlier this week, I came across this letter by Walt. It was his last monthly letter before he died (August 2016).
I wanted to share it with you. As one of the brothers said, “Prosperity breeds a lack of dependence…… we can do it ourselves”
Don’t give way to discouragement, feelings of futility, or waves if fear;
because the Father has graciously chosen to give you the kingdom!
With everything going south around us, this is a great devotion to read!
