Hi Men:

Happy New Year to all of you!
I pray you have been “in” the Word as we start this New Year! Check out these first 5 verses from John chapter 1:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

These are jaw-dropping verses. Now having these verses on lockdown (yeah, right), let’s backup to Mark 16:15,

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” —— Jesus

You notice that I underlined the words, GO – ALL – EVERY. If you look up the original Greek for each of those words they mean exactly what they say: GO – ALL and EVERY. So…….. How are you doing with this command from the Lord?

I had no intention of placing another Hummingbird photo in this letter. I was either going to give you the latest update on the Hunga Tonga Volcano [from an earlier report in a Friday Letter] or some interesting info on the Apophis Asteroid scheduled to have a near-Earth fly-by in 2029 about 20,000 miles above the earth. [According to Egyptian mythology, Apophis is a serpent-shaped god and an embodiment of darkness and disorder which seeks to eradicate the world]. It is now highly unlikely to hit the earth, unless God alters its course, but if it hit NYC, this is how big it would be….. yes, it would be devastating for the region. There’s lots of information about it. Here is just one article.

The reason I switched to Hummingbirds, is due to the fact that I ran across this recent video (YouTube 6.5 min), released only 4 days ago.  Also, at my house we have a different species that arrived about a month ago and didn’t head down to Mexico. This is a first for us. (Note: There are 343 different species of Hummingbirds). You will find this 6.5 minute video fascinating. Can you believe that its heart beats at 1250 beats per minute? God and God only…………….

IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD

Well, after 13 years, our washer & dryer finally bit the dust. Yesterday morning the delivery guys, contracted by Home Depot, arrived with our replacements. Kevin was the main installation guy, so the Lord allowed a great opportunity for me to go over the items I had for him. I went over the Million Dollar Book of John, Are You a Good Person (both in English and Spanish) and Steps To Peace with God. Kevin couldn’t be more appreciative. He was actually moved by our whole conversation and said he would go over all the information. I generously tipped him and gave a duplicate of everything for his partner. Kevin is married and praying for children. Here is a photo from yesterday morning with him holding his treasures:
