In the days we are living in, I’m sure all of us have been reflecting on many things. If I believe Isaiah 55:9 above, then I can rest easy. I don’t need to be thinking, “well if I was running the world I sure wouldn’t do it that way! You know….. earthquakes, volcanos, flooding, wars, hostages, persecution, etc.” I’m grateful I’m not running it. God is perfect and His plan is perfect. I just need to:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey!

Earlier in the week, a brother went over these verses with me. As I have been reflecting on them, they are so profound. I wanted to share them with you guys……
13 Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory.
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. (Eph 3:13-20)

Even in Las Vegas the Northern Lights were visible. My son sent me the photo from Lake Tahoe’s Emerald Bay. We haven’t seen this intensity of auroras since Halloween of 2003. As most of you probably read, they were spawned by a series of massive solar flares and coronal mass ejections that erupted from the sun, flinging wave after wave of charged solar particles toward Earth. Those particles slammed into Earth’s magnetic field Friday, triggering what space weather scientists called a level G5 geomagnetic storm.
The more I reflect on these plasma blobs ejected from the sun, each carrying their own magnetic field connecting with the earth’s magnetic field, the more I am in absolute amazement of God’s majestic power….. so, back to trust and obey, for there’s no other way………

Pray that God would put Rob’s team in front of many lost young people seeking for something to fill that void that only Jesus can fill. Pray that some will want to be discipled through their discipleship ministry.
The Las Vegas EDC is the largest one in the country. Over a half a million will attend this weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Rob & Colleen have stayed at our home and they are the “REAL DEAL” Pray for this weekend and that they have adequate support. After EDC Vegas they head to Dallas, Florida and Washington.

We so easily get entangled with the affairs of this life. Now more than ever with “instant” world updates with just swipe on your smart phone. The Enemy has used this so effectively to keep us distracted (entangled) in the temporal (temporary) vs. the eternal (forever).
I love this: Rather than ask guys, “What do you do for a living?” I’m going to make a concerted effort to start asking, “Tell me Bob, what are you doing with your life?” What a profound question! Boy could God use that to lead into some great conversations.
As mentioned, when you think of the Apostle Paul, do you think, “tentmaker?” How about Barnabas, do you think farmer, or Matthew a businessman, or Luke a doctor? What do people think of you?
