Hi Men:
I pray you had a great week where you took time to rest “in” the Lord. Last November, one of our brothers sent me this profound thought. I believe it’s worth revisiting, especially considering everything happening in our world today:

When life feels uncertain, God anchors us with a simple truth: He alone rules over history, over nations, and over the intimate details of our lives. He sees the end before the beginning ever arrives. What surprises us never surprises Him. What confuses us never confuses Him. This is why Scripture repeatedly calls us to “remember.”

Read Isaiah 46:9-10 (Remember)

Isn’t it amazing how much time we spend thinking about things we have absolutely no control over? Politics, elections, the economy, world events, tomorrow’s uncertainties. We read about them, watch videos, discuss them, get frustrated over them, and sometimes even lose sleep over them!

Think about this: Not one thing that happens tomorrow will take God by surprise! He is absolutely sovereign, and Jesus Christ is our only hope (not Washington, politicians, financial security, or anything this world offers). And yet, how easily we allow these distractions to rob us of our peace, consume our thoughts, and divert our attention from what really matters: living for Christ and advancing His Kingdom!

God is Sovereign over all things!
🔷 Bible Verses on God’s Sovereignty 🔷

Remember Screwtape Letters? Our common enemy would love nothing more than to keep us so preoccupied with the things of this world that we become ineffective for the cause of Christ.

Men, there’s a tremendous difference between
being concerned about the world and being consumed by it!

Something to think and pray about….

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
(Isaiah 26:3)

Oh no! Not another picture of Zion! 😊

I know what some of you are thinking! But men, there’s a special reason I’m featuring Zion again this week.

First of all, please pray for the Pine Mt Men’s Conference this weekend in Georgia.

And…… with Zion Boot Camp approaching December 4–6, I’d ask you to be praying for the speakers and men who will attend and especially for those still considering coming.

Let me share something with you…

Frank Lamm, a businessman in his early sixties, grew up attending church with all his siblings. Yet, as Frank shared with me, being raised in a religious home and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ are two very different things.
Last December, Frank attended his first Zion Boot Camp after being invited by a brother in Tucson. Before the conference was even over, he sent me the following email. I called Frank and asked his permission to share it with you. You can say hi to Frank this year, as he will be joining us again.

Here’s what he wrote:

Dan,

Day 1 left me absolutely blown away
Day 2 brought me to tears of gratitude and humility.

The testimonials, the powerful lessons, and the heartfelt peer-to-peer conversations have touched me deeply and made me feel truly blessed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making it possible for me to be here, and a special thank-you to David for thinking of me and extending the invitation.

Just two days in, and this experience has already become a lifelong source of inspiration—one that will ripple far beyond today. I’m already counting down to the next Boot Camp!

God bless you all!

Men, what might God do in your life if you gave Him one weekend of your undivided attention? What might God do if you invited someone. Keep Praying !

IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD

Ok, what else can break at my house! Meet Johnny!

Just yesterday, our ancient home alarm system went haywire! Thankfully, Johnny, our alarm technician who’s been here before, showed up and had everything working in no time. The guy really knows his stuff!

I walked out with Johnny and we started visiting. He grew up in Guam and his dad was in the military. He then moved to England, and eventually settled in Las Vegas. We immediately felt comfortable with each other, and before long, he began sharing some very personal things about his life.

Johnny was raised Catholic but has explored many other religious groups over the years, including Mormonism and Jehovah’s Witnesses and many Christian churches. None of them really clicked with him.

That opened the door for me to share my testimony and talk about Jesus Christ and I said that, “I’ve got something for you,” I then showed him Steps to Peace with God along with Are You a Good Person? and one of my Million Dollar Bills. After explaining them, I asked if he’d like to have them.

“Yes, I want to read them tonight!”

I also told him about Zion Boot Camp, showed him last year’s group photograph, and explained that our speakers aren’t pastors but ordinary laymen. That really caught his attention! Initially, the dates didn’t work for him, but as we continued talking, he said, “Hmm, maybe I can make it.” Please pray that God opens that door for Johnny….

We parted on a wonderful note, and I hope we’ll stay in touch.

Men, you never know whom God will bring across your path! Are we intentionally looking for opportunities to share the “Good News” of the Gospel, or are we so preoccupied with our own lives that we walk right past them?

“Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.” (Colossians 4:5)

“So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12

Men, isn’t it interesting how much time we spend worrying about a world that’s passing away, while Paul was willing to surrender everything — even endure suffering, because he understood that Jesus Christ is our only true and eternal hope?

AMAZING STORY !!

GOD IS MOVING IN THE MIDDLE EAST!

Men, while the headlines are filled with war, hatred, and turmoil in the Middle East, God is doing something extraordinary! Muslims are coming to faith in Jesus Christ, often at tremendous personal risk.

This past summer, my wife organized a women’s book club centered on Women Who Risk: Secret Agents for Jesus in the Muslim World, written by Tom and JoAnn Doyle. The book shares remarkable testimonies of Muslim women willing to risk everything to follow Jesus Christ.

In this powerful interview with Suzie Larson, the Doyles share even more astonishing accounts of what God is doing in the Middle East.

Consider this: Tom tells of a Christian who posted a message on the internet asking Muslims whether they had dreamed about a man in a white robe who identified Himself as their Savior.

When asked to guess how many people had responded, Tom guessed 1,000.

According to Tom, the number eventually reached an astonishing 750,000 responses!

Men, while we’re consumed with the troubles of this world, are we overlooking what God is doing to bring people into His eternal Kingdom?

Men, we say eternity matters more than anything else. But if someone examined how we spend our time, our money, and our energy, would they reach the same conclusion?
