Hi Men:
I pray you have had extended time with and in Jesus this week. I had a number of distractions, so thanks for for cutting me some slack on getting my letter out. I have to admit, the major part of the delay wasn’t anything physically absorbing my time, it was more mental and taking the time to cast those burdens on the Lord.
I know I sound like a broken record regarding this verse:
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Eph 2:10
I’ve been thinking how many Christians fill the churches around the world and how many of those are truly saved?
[Note: If you haven’t heard MacArthur’s 2 messages titled, “Saved or Self-Deceived” … make sure to listen to them in the days ahead: Part 1 and Part 2 …… sobering]
To continue…. of those that are truly saved, how many are wasting their life? You know, doing stuff that God NEVER intended you to do. Have you been pleading with the Lord to do only those works that God has prepared before the foundations of the world for you to do. Why would you want to do anything else?

VOYAGER 1 – One Light-Day from Earth
Men, the immensity of God’s creation continues to overwhelm me.
Voyager 1 was launched in 1977. Nearly 49 years later, it is the most distant human-made object in existence and the first spacecraft to enter interstellar space.
On November 18, 2026, it will become the first man-made object to travel one light-day from Earth, more than 16 billion miles away. A radio signal will take 24 hours to reach it and another 24 hours for its reply to return.
That seems almost beyond comprehension.
Yet the farthest individual star ever observed, Earendel (means: Morning Star from J.R.R. Tolkien), is nearly 13 billion light-years away — about 4.7 trillion light-days!
After almost half a century of travel, mankind’s farthest spacecraft will have crossed only one light-day into the vast creation of Almighty God.
The Pale Blue Dot
In 1990, at Carl Sagan’s urging, NASA turned Voyager 1 around and photographed Earth from about 3.7 billion miles away.
Earth appeared as a tiny speck of light – barely one pixel.
Sagan called it the “Pale Blue Dot.”
“Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us.”

Voyager 1 may be the farthest thing man has ever sent, but it has not traveled one inch beyond the sovereign hand of Jesus Christ.

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD
Meet James…..
As most of you know, I’m always handing out tracts, Ten Commandment coins, and Million-Dollar Gospel bills, etc. But did you know that I also love giving them out to children and teenagers at church.
About a month ago, I met James, a 16-year-old from Phoenix who was visiting his mom in Las Vegas. I gave him several Million-Dollar Gospel bills and shared a few ideas about how he might use them.
Last Sunday, James was in town and came up and asked, “Do you remember me?” It took me a moment, but then he said, “Let me tell you what I did with that million-dollar bill.”
He had given it to a homeless man along with five dollars, and used the gospel message on the back to talk with him about Jesus Christ. He was so excited.
James told me he would be in town for two more weeks, so…. with his mom’s permission we made plans to have lunch. On Wed we spent 2+ hours at Lucille’s Bar-B-Que talking about the Lord, evangelism, and how he could reach others. I brought an entire bag of tracts, coins, Gospel of John booklets, and other materials, and we went through them one by one. He was genuinely excited.
James will be a junior next year at a large Catholic high school in Phoenix, where the other students already call him “the Bible guy.” He regularly asks questions to get them thinking, such as, “Did you know Jesus had brothers?” He has even been rebuked for bringing up subjects like that, but he keeps looking for opportunities. In the days ahead, I think he will be using, “Do you think you are a good person?”
Men, never underestimate what can happen when you place one simple gospel tool into the hands of a willing young person. You never know what God’s going to do……
One thing continues to strike me: Young people often receive these Evangelistic materials with an eagerness and excitement. Many of the older believers appear to have lost that zeal or may never have had it.
Amazed by His creation, overwhelmed by His grace,
