LOST VALLEY MEN’S RETREAT 2025

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)

Hi Men:
I pray this week has been a blessing and that you, like Paul, are focused on the ultimate goal as he declared in 2 Timothy 4:7……

I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the course,
I have kept the faith.

As mentioned last week, the 2025 Lost Valley Men’s Retreat was held at Lost Valley Ranch in the mountains west of Denver. The retreat was sold out with a large waiting list. Bob, one of my dear friends from high school along with his good friend, Craig, also attended. A huge blessing! Most of the teachings and breakout sessions have already been uploaded. LISTEN HERE. One of the topics was titled, “When We Stand Before Him” and the presenter used the above verse from 2 Cor 5:10. It is a verse that I seldom reflect on, so it was great to have this teaching. All the teachings were so good!!

I had one very interesting conversation. One of the ranch staff, Corinna, came through the area where the workshop on Sharing Your Faith was held. I showed her all the materials and asked if she would like some of them. She did and then she mentioned that the “harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” (Matt 9:37-38) I didn’t expect that comment from her until I found out how evangelistic her whole family is and her mother even uses the Million Dollar Bill. THE LADY IN THE MIDDLE SEAT

My flight back to Las Vegas was delayed several hours, yet I am so grateful. Otherwise I would have never met Lauren. Lauren was coming from Atlanta with her own delays and just barely made the connection to my flight. She was heading for a convention at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Lauren was one of the last to board and my row just happened to have one of the remaining middle seats. She she sat down, we introduced each other, which began our conversation. A storm was moving into Denver, so we taxied for about 20 minutes and the flight to Las Vegas was 2 hours …….. we talked the entire time! She and her husband Andrew (who remained back home taking care of their 18 month old daughter) attend a non-denominational Christian church. I gave her the Million Dollar Gospel of John and the other tracts. She wanted to know about the retreat and showed her photos. I also ended up sharing my entire India experience. Lauren also wanted to know all about discipleship and why it is so important in a believer’s life.
We talked about so many relevant things that those 2 and a half hours just flew by. She asked if both her and her husband could receive the Friday letter, so if all goes well, they will be reading this one…. and she will be ordering a Blue Book. Also, Lauren and Andrew may very well be at the Zion Boot Camp this December 5-7. We both agreed our time together was a divine appointment. Right before we departed, Lauren said we should grab a selfie…….. you may very well meet her, Andrew and their daughter in December!

Daniel Janagam of India sent me his Day 65 out of the Blue Book. This is what he said:

On March 05th we invited Kumar who is a pastor & teacher invited him along with his wife. Have a wonderful time of fellowship by introducing Blue Book. We went through discussion on March 05th devotional, he was so encouraged by the insights of the day from Walt’s devotional.
Later we spent some time on discipleship and encouraged them to have their family & church discipleship studies regularly.

It’s so amazing how they are using the Blue Book [Thoughts from the Diary of a Desperate Man] throughout India! Here is a photo of Pastor Kumar:
