In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth
Genesis 1:1

Hi Men:

I pray this week you and your loved ones are firmly knit together. It is so easy to get distracted and unraveled in the days we are now living. We would be wise to take a moment and reflect on these profound verses:

“Therefore be careful how you live, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”
(Eph 5:15-17)

So, are you careful how you walk? Are you making the most of your time? (Be honest). Have you resolved to walk “in” Christ throughout the day? Are you asking the Lord for you to be completely immersed in His will and not yours? We may even need to ask God to discipline us (when was the last time you heard that from the pulpit?). Sounds crazy, but if you go to Hebrews 12:11, discipline will yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness for those that have been trained by it. The “peaceful fruit of righteousness”…… wow!
It’s time to get some callouses on those knees.

PHOTO ABOVE

Just 5 days ago, stunning new images in the Triangulum Galaxy were released by NASA from the James Webb Space Telescope. A few facts:

  • It’s a long journey – If your Mini Cooper could spin those wheels at the speed of light (186,000 miles/sec) it would still take you almost 3 million years to get there!

o And….. that’s a drop in the bucket compared to most distant galaxies

  • NASA has determined that NGC-604 contains 200 of the hottest and most massive stars known to date. Some having 100 times the mass of our own Sun
  • These hot stars actually ionize the surrounding gases. The white areas are ionized hydrogen.
  • Some of the red super giants in this nebula are hundreds of times the diameter of our own Sun.

Here is a short video of this newly discovered region.

I know, some of you are saying, “So what, Dan…… We’ve seen a lot of this type of stuff in your letters before.” And you’re right. So we need to reflect on another great couple of verses:

“For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
(Colossians 1:16-17)

Someday, there will be no more presidential elections, border crossings, trafficking, world conflicts, massive tunnel systems, climate change, and the thousands of other issues currently discussed ad nauseam. God is 100% in control of everything. There is not one rogue molecule in the universe. For now, God holds everything together and there will be a day of reckoning where it will all be gone, even NGC-604 in the Triangulum Galaxy will fall from the heavens. So men, let me ask you once again:
ARE YOU MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR TIME?

IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD AND DOWN THE STREET

If it’s not backyard or home repair issues (actually not issues but opportunities 😊), lately it’s stuff with my car. I have a weird transmission thing going on and the service writer at the dealership said it might be electrical and go back to the shop where I purchased the battery and tell them it’s not holding a charge. So that’s what I did. By the way, the service writer is Austin and he recently had a baby. Sometime back I gave him all the tracts, including the Million Dollar Gospel of John. We continue to have good conversations and he is very open.

This Monday I show up at Interstate Battery and meet (2) very nice guys, Brad and Emmanuel. Emmanuel goes to a Spanish speaking church and was super excited to receive the tracts, especially the Million Dollar Gospel of John (I gave him several and if he needed more, let me know). I started talking to Brad (in the middle) and asked him a few questions. He’s had a pretty rough life journey and said he needs to know more about God. Even though they were on the clock, I had enough time to briefly explain what the gospel is and how Jesus Christ radically changed my life. He said he would read Steps To Peace With God and the Million Dollar Gospel of John. I turned the tract over and said, here is my email address (remember the rubber stamp?), so feel free to contact me at anytime. He was grateful and became somewhat emotional. I hugged the guys and said I hope to hear from them.

☘️Happy St. Patrick’s Day☘️
Dan
(Galatians 2:20)

Men:

“You boast only in the fact that you are a slave of the Lord.”  We Play to a Party of One!  Get that crystal clear in your mind………
If you ever think that what you have you earned by your hard work………..you are not only prideful, but stupid!

I love the 3rd stanza of the hymn, How Deep the Father’s Love for Us
by Fernando Ortega  (YouTube 4 Mins)

I will not boast in anything, no gifts, no power, no wisdom.
But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.
But this I know with all my heart, His wounds have paid my ransom.

A Few Quotes by J.C. Ryle (1816-1900)

[You may want to put your seat belt on]

“Where is our charity if we can see others going down to hell and yet say nothing to them about Christ and salvation?”

“We may well doubt our own love to Christ if our hearts are never moved to speak of Him. We may well doubt the safety of our own souls if we feel no concern about the souls of others.”

“Do we ever talk to others about God and Christ and eternity and the soul and heaven and hell? If not, what is the value of our faith? Where is the reality of our Christianity?”

Men: The above quotes are from his book, “Daily Readings.” So very convicting. He also asked the following question:

“Are you more talkative about the weather, your family and your hobbies than about your Savior?”

A Tender Note From Lee Yih’s Wife, Miltinnie

For those of us that have met David, he is such a special person. He is so sweet. I remember vividly sitting on the porch with David at Lee & Miltinnie’s home in Cambridge, Massachusetts years ago. We would count the cars as they drove by. Both Lee and Miltinnie have expressed many times how God has used David in such a profound way and indirectly has led numerous people to a saving relationship to Jesus Christ.

There are countless stories of God using David’s condition to allow Miltinnie to have numerous presentations to women dealing with children having disabilities. Miltinnie even spoke at the Women’s Gospel Coalition Conference a few years back. Both Miltinnie and Lee are close friends with Joni Eareckson Tada.

What the World Desperately Needs Today

John Lennox – Mathematician at the University of Oxford

Men: A dear friend from PA send me this short video where Dr. Lennox was speaking to some executives in London. I love where he says, “Tell them to spend time with God searching prayerfully through His word, until the face of God appears.”

Don’t miss this brief, but profound message!

“Football is great, but people need to know about JESUS.”

—- Darrell Green, NFL Hall of Fame —-

Men,

I seldom follow football, but this testimony from Darrell Green after he received the Bart Starr award in 1997 is one of the most profound testimonies from an athlete I have ever heard.

His testimony blew me away! Take time to listen to it and the short message from Voddie Baucham following.
