Two Creepy Looking Galaxies
“The heavens declare the glory of God;

Hi Men:
I hope all of you had a great week “in” the Lord. What do you think about when a brother says, “Have a great day in the Lord.” The best place to answer that is of course in the Word. Paul said:
“For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” (Col 3:3) and we are “……….dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:11)
Jaw-dropping verses…….. right? Then of course, John the Baptist states, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30) So let’s petition God that our desire is like Paul said, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Phil 1:21)

I probably should have used the above image during Halloween. These 2 spiral galaxies, IC2163 and NGC2270 were taken last October by the JWST (James Webb Space Telescope). They have been nicknamed, the “Blood Soaked Eyes.” Yet they boggle the mind. Here are a few facts:
- They are in the constellation Canis Major (Latin for “Greater Dog”). Makes sense that the star Sirius is in this same constellation and is often referred to as the “Dog Star.”
- VY Canis Majoris is also in this constellation. It is one of the largest known stars and about 2000 times larger than our own Sun
- Sun = 864K miles in diameter.
- VY Canis Majoris = believed to be about 1.5 billion miles in diameter 😮
- 114 million light-years away & 160,000 LY across.
- About 2 Dozen Sun-sized stars are formed every year in these galaxies.

I have used the verse above from Psalm 19:1 in the past, but if you think about the cosmic forces in these 2 galaxies, along with new stars being formed and the seeming chaos going on, there is diving purpose and beauty. Reflecting on this, if we will fear the One that spoke all this into existence, we will NEVER have to fear man or our circumstances again.

After much repetition, most of you should know by now, that God is 100% in control and He is good. This is what He says in Isaiah 45.7
“The One forming light and creating darkness,
Causing well-being and creating calamity;
I am the Lord who does all these.”
Then we have Lamentations 3:38
“Does not the Most High send both calamity and good?”
Accidents, atrocities, tragedies, disasters – these are used by God to remind us of His Judgement. When people lose their life, they die in the perfect timing of God.
Sometimes we forget Hebrews 9:27, “as it is appointed to men to die once, and after that comes the judgement.” There is NO SECOND CHANCE…… no place called Purgatory and no back door to heaven.

“We have recently covered the topic of purpose and sanctification. It was a great two weeks of study, and this group is now doing small groups as we focus on knowing and doing the will of God – with emphasis on obedience and applying the commandments of God in our daily lives. It is so encouraging to see the Holy Spirit at work and witnessing these young people believing God and conforming their lives to His word.”

Many states in India are becoming more hostile and dangerous for Christians in the trenches. Check out what Daniel said from his update report:
Arrest & Charged: On the same day we finished the workshop and were traveling back to Hyderabad, 12 evangelists from other state were arrested and charged. Throughout the workshop, several host pastors cautioned us to remain vigilant regarding potential mob threats, as an attack could occur at any moment. We are grateful that the Lord granted us complete protection during the entire three days. Please keep us in your prayers for safety as we travel to neighbouring states for similar engagements in upcoming months.
