 “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
Colossians 1:17

NoteI have inserted a number of audio/videos this week.  You might want to pass some on…..

Hi Men:

Does this describe you

“Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and though you do not see Him now,
you believe in Him and rejoice with an inexpressible and glorious joy.” (1 Peter 1:8)

I’ll let you ponder on that verse for a while…… especially the part of rejoicing with an inexpressible and glorious joy.  And if that is in fact you, are you sharing that joy with others?  I remember when Lee Yih was teaching on the Parable of the Minas in Luke 19.  I never forgot his statement at the end of his teaching, “Will you, or will you not, represent the absent King in light of a hostile world?”  …….  Or are you going to hide?

The YouTube below caught my eye from Answers in Genesis – they are an apologetic ministry providing answers to questions about the Bible (creation, evolution, science, etc).   They are a great resource for those that sincerely have a desire to know more about Biblical inerrancy.  Years ago I had my moments where I could be an obnoxious Bible thumper and spent a lot of time with guys that I probably should have set aside for a while.  I remember the old saying, “A person convinced against their will is of the same opinion still.”  I had to continually remind myself that it is God who calls a person to Himself, otherwise verses like this one from Jesus’ own lips are just hot air:

“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father;
and no one knows the Son except the Father;
nor does anyone know the Father except the Son,
and anyone whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”

(Matt 11:27  NASB)

I’ve been attempting for some time to put some cool information in this email about the Chameleon lizard.  Needless to say, this week a piece of Broccoli got in the way 😊
So what gives?

Broccoli – Watch the video and you’ll see what I mean

I ran across this amazing video by Dr Jason Lisle, Ph.D. – Astrophysicist.  He has worked at Answers in Genesis, the Institute for Creation Research and is the Founder of the Biblical Science Institute.  I think you will be totally blown-away by this video at how indescribable our majestic God is.  Set aside some time and watch this presentation as Jason Lisle explains The Mandelbrot Set. (YouTube 38 minutes)

Some of you may be familiar with the subject of fractals.  Several years back I put some information in the Friday letter on Snowflakes E²Vegas.org/Friday-Mens-Group-1-29-21 If you missed it, feel free to check it out.

Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land – 1959
As I was watching the Mandelbrot video above, I flashed on an old 8-track VHS tape we had for our boys:  “Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land.”  You could ask my boys today and they both would say how much that video impacted their thinking.  If you haven’t watched it or shown it to your kids or grandkids, do so.  Here is the link for the video:

Men:
I’m finding more and more Christian men are serving God on “their” terms, and not His.

“You are wise if you never harden your heart before the Lord,
tempting him to ensure that your heart remains hardened.”

A License to Sin?
Romans Chapter 2
By Rabbi Schneider

 Men:

As our brother Lee Yih would say, “Shall we go on sinning…..  hell no!”  If you haven’t yet listened to Lee’s message that he gave at our Zion Boot Camp, see below.  This Messianic brother in Christ was brought to my attention recently.  This guy appears to be the real deal.  Check out this 19 minute teaching from Romans 2.

Here are a couple points I picked up (not in any particular order):

*Judging others…… then you condemn yourself
*God will render to each person according he deeds
*There will be tribulation and distress
*True Worship is OBEDIENCE – Be a soldier for Christ
*We need to, “Deny ourselves… take up our cross… and follow Jesus”

I included the link in a previous Friday Letter of Lee Yih’s talk on “Unpacking the Most Boring Passage in Romans”  The Rabbi Schneider above addresses some of the same key points as Lee did.  It is so encouraging there are others out there that see the deeper truths in the scriptures that we need to pay close attention to and strive for  OBEDIENCE!

When I watched this short video by Voice of the Martyrs…… it gave me a lot to reflect on

When Hannelie and her family left their comfortable home in South Africa to serve on the front lines in Afghanistan, they knew the risks. But they wouldn’t deny God’s call. Hannelie’s family gave their lives for their faith. This video retells her family’s story of faithfulness and sacrifice amid those hostile to Christ.
