Friday Men’s Group 10/12/18

Hi Men:

I had a conversation with one of my buddies that attended Zion a few years back.  He asked if we were going to have the Zion conference again.  I said “we sure are.”  Then he went on to say how much he loved the conference and what it meant to him.  I asked him if he loved it so much, why he wasn’t attending this year and inviting a friend?  He really didn’t have an answer.  I think his answer could be found in Mark 4:19 where Jesus says:

“…….but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches,
and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.”

Let’s admit it, we all can easily allow the world to “enter in” and quickly lose our eternal perspective.  We have made idols of our jobs, our kids, our wives, our hobbies and maybe even our church activities or our “self” (what about me…..what about my predicament….you just don’t understand).   Men, please pray about this.  As we have said may times:

“What we do now, will have an apparent and appreciable difference as to what our eternity will look like.”

Zion Boot Camp is geared to prepare and equip a man for the “approaching storm” that is headed our way.  Are we ready?  Do we desire to be an Ambassador for Christ?  Can you honestly say that you truly want to do what Jesus says:

“If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.”
(Luke 9:23)

If you don’t want this, the answer is pretty simple……….. you can’t be His disciple.  And the implications of this are terrifying!

In Conclusion:
These photos were sent to me from Pastor Govindu of India.  He recently returned from Nepal where he taught discipleship (OT) to pastors and laymen that had requested this teaching for many months.  It was a very difficult trip (30 hours on a train) and trouble with crossing the border. I just had to share the photos below of several Nepalese woman he took a photo of.  You will notice carefully what they are wearing.  I would think this would greatly reduce any possible groping incidents………..Yikes!!
