When Do the Scientists Admit: “This Isn’t Random”
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
Hi Men:
Blessings on this GOOD FRIDAY!
Almost every night before my head hits the pillow, I talk to Jesus about the above verse (Isaiah 55:9)… Why? Because during the day I’ve seen or heard things that seem unfair… even unjust.
Examples:
- A young child diagnosed with cancer or children living in abusive homes
- A family shattered in a sudden car accident
- Believers in places like Nigeria being attacked and butchered for their faith
- People in countries like Iran living for decades under oppressive regimes
- Families caught in war zones, losing everything overnight
- Addictions ravaging people’s lives and their families
- People battling chronic illness and non-stop pain with no relief in sight
- Marriages falling apart… children walking away… lives unraveling
And most sobering of all…
- People stepping into eternity without Christ
Then I come back to:
“As high as the heavens are above the earth…” so, how high is that?
For me, it’s billions of light-years. Heaven is beyond our own Universe! His ways aren’t just higher than mine… they are beyond my ability to grasp. So I stop trying to figure it all out and … BELIEVE – OBEY & TRUST HIM!

Guys, I’m only giving you a glimpse — because the cosmic web is the largest structure ever observed in the universe. From a simple perspective, its order can be compared to snow crystals, where a repeating, six-sided pattern reflects an underlying structure.
The cosmic web is being observed by the James Webb, Hubble, Atacama (ALMA), and Euclid telescopes. It stretches across billions of light-years, with filaments of galaxies extending hundreds of millions of light-years, so vast that light itself takes millions of years just to cross a single strand. What we’re seeing in images like this is not nearby space… It is deep space, often billions of light-years away.
And many astrophysicists are now saying,
WHY?
Because instead of randomness… they are seeing structure (like the snow crystals). Here are just a few facts:
- The universe is not random
- → It is structured like an immense, interconnected web
- Galaxies are not scattered
- → They are aligned along massive filaments
- Where those filaments meet
- → Clusters form precise nodes
- Between them
- → Vast voids—regions almost completely empty
- Massive galaxies are appearing far too early
- → “They shouldn’t exist yet”
- The structure is more organized than predicted
- What looked like empty space…
- → Is filled with hidden structure and activity
- And most telling:
- → The entire system is held together by something they cannot see – and as you know, they are calling it: DARK MATTER
The universe looks less like an explosion (Big Bang)…And more like a planned structure. Surprise — Surprise!
And the One who holds it all together…
went to the Cross for you and me….

IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD
Meet Dr. Michael, DVM, and Our Dog, Punky
On Saturday, Jane and I made the difficult decision that it was time to say goodbye to our 15-year-old Chihuahua, Punky. Rather than taking her into a clinic, I found a mobile vet, Dr. Michael, who came to our home on Sunday afternoon. It turned out to be a huge blessing. The day was unbelievably quiet and peaceful. I set up a place in our backyard, under the very tree where I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ in 1991.
We sat together, and Dr. Michael gently explained everything he was going to do. With great care, he placed a towel on my lap, and Punky rested there as Jane and I said our tearful goodbyes… Yet It was incredibly peaceful.
Throughout the years, we have had many dogs, mainly large breeds, Great Danes, Malamutes, Huskies, etc., but Punky was a special little dog, which we inherited at 4 mos. old from an older man at church. She was quiet, gentle, never an ankle-biter, and always happiest sitting in someone’s lap. She was a regular at our Friday men’s group and attended many of Jane’s women’s Bible studies. She even had her moment in the spotlight at UNLV’s Legally Blonde, playing “Bruiser” 🤠
After Punky passed — right there on my lap — I asked Dr. Michael about his spiritual background. He shared that he was raised Catholic, but now considers himself an Atheist.
We had a tender conversation and I shared a piece of my testimony, where 35 years ago, I gave my life to Christ under this very tree. He said that he hopes, when this life is over, that if there is a God, He would look favorably on him.
I told him we could get together, maybe lunch in the coming weeks, and he was very open to that. I also gave him an Evidence Study Bible, which he received with genuine gratitude. Inside are answers to his many questions, so he was very excited to receive it.
Please keep Dr. Michael in your prayers and that he will take me up on going to lunch!
I believe he truly wants to know more.

A DEPRESSING STATISTIC
