The Rainbow Weevil – Philippines

“LORD, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all;

Hi Men:
I pray your week “in Christ” was one that exemplified what we mentioned last week when Jesus said, “…….in Me you will have peace.” It’s probably close to impossible not to get caught up in what’s going on right now. I flashed on the word bitterness. There appears to be so many bitter people and then I remembered George Washington Carver’s quote:

“I will never let another man ruin my life by making me hate him.”
I also remember Walt talking about bitterness in his recorded message, “Many Aspire, Few Attain” (51 Min) Here is the PDF (Scroll down to page 8, #10, “Avoid the root of bitterness”)

Why did this tiny beetle, deep in the Philippine forests, catch my eye? Because it has, like so many of God’s creations, ‘Once Again’ stumped the bioengineers 🤠

Researchers are baffled as they try to understand how these intricate, color-generating structures form naturally—especially since modern technology still can’t replicate anything this small or precise. So why all the fascination? One word: M-O-N-E-Y. If they can figure out how to synthesize it, they could…

• Create cosmetics and paints with purer and more vivid hues
• Create screen displays that project a true image when viewed from any angle
• Reduce the signal loss in optical fibers

This is what one biological scientist said in Phys.org

 “The ultimate aim of research in this field is to figure out how the weevil self-assembles these structures, because with our current technology we are unable to do so.” Dr. Vinod Saranathan – Yale

If interested, here are a couple bullet points why this beetle is so miraculous:

🔹 A True Rainbow on Its Back – The weevil’s wing casings feature concentric rings of every color in the rainbow, always appearing in the same order: red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, and blue. Scientists had never seen this level of precision in nature before.
🔹 Never-Before-Seen Color Control – The weevil’s colors come from microscopic 3D crystal structures made of chitin, the material in insect shells. The size of these crystals determines the color: red from the largest crystals, blue from the smallest.
🔹 Colors That Never Change with the Viewing Angle – Most iridescent creatures, like butterflies or peacocks, shift color depending on how the light hits them. But the weevil’s perfectly symmetrical nanostructures ensure that its rainbow remains unchanged no matter where you look—a design beyond anything man has been able to replicate.

 If Human Engineers are able to succeed in making artificial copies, they will take all the credit for their ingenuity and once again throw God under the rug for His mind-blowing incomprehensible creation! I love what Jeffrey Seto and Ray Comfort said: “Man’s Indiscriminate Stealing of God’s Amazing Design” in their book: Made In Heaven

 Mormonism Continued……….

If you read last week’s Friday Letter, you know about my Mormon neighbor that died. My wife and I attended the funeral and if you didn’t know better, you would have thought it was an amazing Christian funeral service.

Just know, if it wasn’t for the grace of God, I would be a Mormon or Hindu or Muslim or….. So, having said that, we need to ask God to give us a heart 💖 for Mormons who are currently racing directly to Lake of Fire for eternity. Mormon are utterly deceived. Here are just a few doctrines that Mormons and the LDS Church believe:

• Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers – Both were spiritually created by God the Father, making them siblings. Note: There is no Trinity in Mormonism.
• Mormon men can become gods – Faithful LDS men may be exalted and receive their own worlds to rule. They will have multiple wives to populate these planets.
  • I’m always curious what Mormons think, because so far, the JWST has not found one habitable planet in the whole universe!!!
• God has a wife (Heavenly Mother) – God and His wife create spirit children who are born into human bodies.
• Husbands may resurrect wives – In temple theology, a husband may call his wife from the grave by her secret name. If she was just a so-so wife, he doesn’t have to call her and just leave her in the grave!! Yikes….
• Changes to the Book of Mormon – The Book of Mormon has undergone 3900 edits since 1830.
• Baptism for the dead – Proxy baptisms are performed for deceased people so they can choose salvation in the afterlife.
• Black men banned from priesthood until 1978 – LDS policy denied Black men priesthood authority for over a century. “Sons of Ham” – not equal to white men.
• Kolob, the star nearest God – LDS scripture teaches of a star or planet named Kolob, near God’s throne.
• Adam-God doctrine – Brigham Young taught that Adam was God the Father.
