Hi Men:
Have you been trusting “in” Jesus this week? After all, it was our Savior that declared those words above.
I don’t need to explain to any of you what’s currently taking place in Israel-Gaza and other places. You probably know the situation way better than me. The brutality that was committed at the Kibbutz Kfar Aza seared our sensibilities (photos above). We pray for these people, we grieve for their loss and Jesus commanded us to “love your enemies.” Here are Jesus’ words from Matthew 5:43-45…..
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
Jesus says, “so that you may be sons of your Father”……. I might suggest you meditate and pay attention to that statement.
There will always be wars. Tell me from the Bible, other than a brief period during Solomon’s reign, when was the nation of Israel not at war? You won’t be able to, because there was perpetual war. We seem to have a very short memory concerning what Jesus said:
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth;
I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.”
(Matthew 10:34)
Remember, from the Ukraine to Gaza, God is 100% orchestrating all these events ……. Here’s one all you guys know.
The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity;
I am the Lord who does all these.”
(Isaiah 45:6-7)
Men, there are so many opportunities right now “……….. to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you……….” Right now people are asking, “where is God while all this is happening?” As Jesus said, “……..Wake up and look around. The fields are ripe for harvest.” (John 4:35 NLT)
During this Friday Jihad, let’s be praying throughout the day for the safety of our brethren.
