DNA Double Helix
Co-Discovered by Nobel Prize Winner – Francis Crick
“For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible…He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
Colossians 1:16–17
Hi Men:
Praying you had extended time in the Word this week….. remember, only by being in His Word will you be able to navigate the issues of today with peace. What did Jesus say:
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Only when you are “in” Jesus, will you have peace….

Even Francis Crick, the Nobel Prize–winning co-discoverer of the DNA double helix, couldn’t bring himself to believe that life arose by chance. He admitted the odds were “almost a miracle.” But rather than acknowledge a Creator, he came up with a bizarre theory that life must have been seeded on Earth by aliens – a theory called panspermia.

In other words, intelligent life didn’t create life here; it created life somewhere else first. It’s a stunning example of how far brilliant minds will go to avoid admitting the obvious — that DNA, the most intricate code in the universe, demands an intelligent Designer.
Here was another brilliant mind that hung his hat on evolution instead of the Creator…..
“We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism… that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.”
Richard Lewontin, PhD, Evolutionary Biologist, Harvard University
Men: I can’t get that documentary by Creation Ministries International out of my mind:
Evolution’s Achilles’ Heels
I’ve been thinking a lot about what these fifteen Ph.D. scientists said in the documentary Evolution’s Achilles’ Heels.
Each of them — brilliant minds in fields such as genetics, geology, astronomy, and physics — exposes the fatal flaws in the grand theory of evolution.
But more than that, they reveal the moral and spiritual consequences of believing we came from nothing but chance and time (pond scum).

Have you ever wondered why the vast majority have no problem with abortion, assisted suicide, etc?
- Evolution is not just science — it’s philosophy.
The “science” is used to prop up a worldview called naturalism — the belief that God doesn’t exist, and matter is all that matters. - It’s the membership fee for academia.
To be accepted among the intellectual elite, you must be a Darwinist.
Question it — and you risk your grants, your career, your friends, and your reputation. - Many know evolution’s problems but remain silent.
Professors who recognize the cracks in Darwinian theory dare not speak out — they’d be ostracized. Reputation, power, and money (grants) are on the line.
- If evolution is true, life has no meaning.
We’re just rearranged pond scum — accidental chemical reactions with no purpose, no accountability, and no ultimate right or wrong.
- When life has no Creator, life has no value.
This worldview opens the door to abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, and even post-birth infanticide — now openly discussed by some bioethicists as “morally acceptable.”
If there’s no Creator, there’s no moral law — only convenience.
- History’s fruit of evolution is horrific.
Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and Mao all embraced evolutionary thinking, seeing people as expendable animals. About +/- 100 million lives snuffed out in horrific ways.
When “survival of the fittest” becomes national policy, genocide follows. - Rejecting the Creator destroys the image of God in man.
When you erase God from origins, you erase the very foundation of human dignity.
If we evolved from “pond scum” – why would we have a problem with barbaric behavior and procedures?
Some studies number the professors at our universities that believe in evolution as high as 99%. So that means the students under these professors that matriculate are also at 99%…. frightening! Solomon said, “As a man thinks, so is he.”
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
— Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Propaganda Minister (1930s)
Closing Thought
If God created us, He owns us — and He alone has the right to make the rules, as revealed in the Ten Commandments. This is not merely a scientific argument; it’s a spiritual war for the soul of mankind — for truth, morality, and the sacred worth of every human life.
“From one man He made every nation of mankind …
that they should seek God.”
Acts 17:26

Men: Such a great devotional to ponder…… are you thanking Him?
“How does a Christian react when a child dies, your spouse perishes in an accident, or God takes your parents in the prime of their lives? Or maybe you are suffering from an incurable illness and in pain ponder never seeing your children marry and have families.”

GREAT QUOTES
From the Evidence Bible
Two quotes by J.C. Ryle that should take you to your knees!
(John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:10-15; 1 John 4:7-11)

Born 1816 – Died 1900
Do your neighbors see that you love your fellow Christians?
Above all, it was to be the test of Christianity before the world. “By this all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love to another.”
Let us take heed that this well-known Christian grace is not merely a notion in our heads, but a practice in our lives.
Of all the commands of our Master, there is none which is so much talked about and so little obeyed as this.
Yet, if we mean anything when we profess to have charity and love towards men, it ought to be seen in our tempers and our words, our bearing and our doing, our behavior at home and abroad, our conduct in every relation in life. Specially it ought to show itself forth in all our dealings with other Christians. We should regard them as brothers and sisters and delight to do anything to promote their happiness. We should abhor the idea of envy, malice and jealousy towards a member of Christ and regard it as a downright sin. This is what our Lord meant when he told us to love one another. Christ cause in the earth would prosper far more than it does if this simple law was more honored. There is nothing that the world understands and values more than true love
OUCH
Do your fellow Christians know that you love them?
“Let us know how far from satisfactory is the state of those who are content with sound doctrinal opinions and orthodox correct views of the gospel, while in their daily life they give way to ill temper, ill nature, malice, envy, quarrelling, squabbling, bickering, surliness, passion, snappish language and crossness of word and manner. Such persons, whether they know it or not, are daily proclaiming that they are not Christ disciples. It is nonsense to talk about justification and regeneration and election and conversion and the useless of words, unless people can see in us practical Christian love.”
J.C. Ryle
How about this quote by Charles Spurgeon?
(1 John 3:12)
These guys (Ryle & Spurgeon) knew clearly how critical the “Fear of the Lord” is!

Born 1834 – Died 1892
“The cool impudence of Cain is in indication of the state of heart which led up to his murdering his brother; and it was also part of the result of his having committed that terrible crime. He would not have proceeded to the cruel deed of bloodshed if he had not first cast off the fear of God and had been ready to defy his Maker.”
One more from Ryle dealing with 1 John 2:15
“Sense of sin and deep hatred to it, faith in Christ and love to Him, delight in holiness and longing after more of it, love to God’s people and distaste for the things of this world – these are the signs and evidences which always accompany true conversion. JC Ryle
The Changed Life
By Oswald Chambers

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Men:
What understanding do you have of the salvation of your soul? The work of salvation means that in your real life things are dramatically changed. You no longer look at things in the same way. Your desires are new and the old things have lost their power to attract you. One of the tests for determining if the work of salvation in your life is genuine is— has God changed the things that really matter to you? If you still yearn for the old things, it is absurd to talk about being born from above— you are deceiving yourself. If you are born again, the Spirit of God makes the change very evident in your real life and thought. And when a crisis comes, you are the most amazed person on earth at the wonderful difference there is in you. There is no possibility of imagining that you did it. It is this complete and amazing change that is the very evidence that you are saved.
What difference has my salvation and sanctification made? For instance, can I stand in the light of 1 Corinthians 13 , or do I squirm and evade the issue? True salvation, worked out in me by the Holy Spirit, frees me completely. And as long as I “walk in the light as He is in the light” (1 John 1:7), God sees nothing to rebuke because His life is working itself into every detailed part of my being, not on the conscious level, but even deeper than my consciousness.

“You can rarely be a blessing to others
when you fixate on yourself.”
Men:
This is such a great article by Tim Challies. One that I have been guilty of……. and one that we all need to be aware of. Make sure you read the whole article…..
Here are a couple pointers he makes:
First, be aware that it is a universal temptation to find yourself the most fascinating subject in the world.
Second, learn to ask good questions and learn to listen attentively.
Third, be honest with yourself about why you want to meet with another person.

Quote by A.W. Tozer

“No man is better for knowing that God in the beginning created the heaven and the earth. The devil knows that, and so did Ahab and Judas Iscariot. No man is better for knowing that God so loved the world of men that He gave His only begotten son to die for their redemption. In hell there are millions who know that. Theological truth is useless until it is obeyed. The purpose behind all doctrine is to secure moral action.”
“Am I a doer of the Word or a hearer only?”
James 1:22 (paraphrased)
“It ain’t those parts of the Bible that I can’t understand that bother me, it’s the parts that I do understand. – Mark Twain (1835-1910)
