Lungs and Trees

Then God said, ‘Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land…….. And God saw that it was good. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 1 & 2)

Hi Men:
As we look all around us, we see the beautiful handiwork of God. When my wife sent me the above photo, I couldn’t get it out of my mind. Check out this fact:

We breathe in what the trees breathe out,
And they breathe in what we breathe out

It just blows me away when I reflect on the intricate design and wisdom of Jesus (Note: John 1:3 – “ALL things came into being though Jesus”). Just as the branches of a tree and the alveoli in our lungs mirror each other in structure, they also reflect how God interlaced all life. Trees provide us with the oxygen we need to live, while we give them the carbon dioxide they need to thrive. This balance shows the marvelous handiwork of God!

Sarah of Pakistan Visits Las Vegas and Tucson

It was truly a blessing to have Sarah Ibrahim with us as she gave a glimpse of what life is like for those Christians living in Pakistan. Sarah shared with several groups in Las Vegas and then we flew her to meet the Andy Fetsis’ family and friends in Tucson.

Much of the time we forget what our brother’s and sisters in these persecuted countries are willing to go through for the sake of Gospel. At the risk of imprisonment, torture and death, they share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Men, when you have the opportunity to meet these precious brothers and sisters, it will CHANGE you! In America we currently have no fear of imprisonment, torture or death. So there should be NO RELUCTANCE in sharing the Gospel with those you meet in the course of your day…….. Right?

BE STILL – LET GO – STOP STRIVING

I would hope we all have a passionate desire to “Finish Well.” Yesterday, one of the brothers from San Diego had a brief teaching from Psalm 46:10. Of course all of you are familiar with it, “Be still and know that I am God…….” Other translations say, “Let Go” and “Stop Striving.” With all the things going on in your life (health, family, finances, etc) and throughout our country and around the world……… Here’s the Question: Are you able to BE STILL – LET GO and STOP STRIVING? God is 100% in control of EVERYTHING! Do you believe that?

Update from Lee & Miltinnie Yih – June 2024

We are so excited that Glenn Thomas is having a gathering at his home for Lee & Miltinnie where they will discuss Miltinnie’s book, “A Pearl Necklace”

We know what a great blessing that can be. Jane organized a gathering of women back in 2015 to discuss Miltinnie’s book. Read A Review Of Her Book
