Hi Men:
I pray you had a rewarding week “in” Christ. Last week was action packed. Let me break it down:
LIVING WATERS AT THE ALLEGIANT STADIUM
It started last Thursday with my 55th high school reunion “ice-breaker” party and wrapped up Saturday evening with our reunion dinner. As I mentioned last week, on Saturday something truly special occurred with Ray Comfort and his team coming to town for the purpose of handing out the British Invasion $1,000,000 bills prior to Paul McCartney’s performance at the Las Vegas Raiders Stadium.
Jane and I had the privilege of having lunch with Ray and several others from Southern Nevada, Utah, and Arizona who are connected with his ministry. It was truly a blessing to meet Ray and visit with so many folks connected with Living Waters. One thing about Ray Comfort and the Living Waters ministry, they are very clear on the presentation of the Gospel. They first ask someone if they think they are a good person. Then use to law (Ten Commandments) to sear their conscience…… have you “ever” lied or stolen, etc. If you haven’t seen his YouTubes make sure you check them out. Here is one example:

Regarding the (2) verses above. We all know that Luke 19:10 was the primary mission of why Jesus came. And our mission is equally clear from Mark 16:15. Ray Comfort uses that verse often and we should also. Tell me if there is anything more important in this short life we have than preaching the Good News of the Gospel to a lost and dying world?
HIGH SCHOOL REUNION
Just a few comments about my 55th high school reunion. I attended Bishop Gorman High School and we had an exception class. For the most part, our classmates have stayed in touch over the years.
The above photo is a shot from our Reunion Dinner with a great classmate, Victor, holding a British Invasion $1,000,000 bill. One quick story from the “ice-breaker” party held at Atomic Liquors (see last week’s Friday letter). One of the guys that I hadn’t seen in possibly 30 years was there. As we were getting caught up, he said, “Danny, I heard you are now an evangelist.” I kid you not……. He caught me totally off-guard, because no one have ever said that. Oh well…… 🤠
IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD
Remember when I said God keeps breaking things around my house so I have to call repairmen? Well, now He’s sending flathead tree borers to my pine trees. Yesterday the “tree guys” came to take one out. Once those borers get ahold of a tree, there’s not much you can do—within days, it’s dead.
The good news, I got to talk to the (3) guys. I gave them each a full package of materials, both in English and Spanish and shared my testimony. They were super interested and very grateful for the tracts. And of course, I tipped them before they departed.
To keep things in perspective, we need to hold on to our stuff with open palms…. for it is ALL passing away.
Matthew 6:19-20 comes to mind:
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven…”
